This is a Przewalski's Horse figurine from Safari Ltd.(r). Przewalski’s horses are thought to have never been domesticated by humans, making them the last truly “wild” type of horse. While recent DNA studies were thought to point to domestication several thousand years ago, these studies were challenged in 2021, and it is still believed that the Przewalski is the last horse that has never been domesticated by humans. The Przewalski’s horse is stockier and more heavily built than most other horses, and is known for its erect mane and convex facial profile. Both features are replicated in this highly detailed and hand painted miniature Przewalski figurine. This mini wild horse measures 4.9in. L x 1.2in. W x 3.5in. H, is made out of hard plastic, is hand painted and non-toxic/BPA free. It’s reddish brown coat features the pangaré configuration, which is identified by a light colored muzzle and underside, and dark brown mane, tail, and stockinged feet. Sold as one piece per package.
