Black Rag Doll Kit (hft4721)

The rag doll, is by far, the most popular and well known of all American folk dolls. The term rag doll actually describes almost any stuffed, cotton cloth doll made from scraps of fabric. Make your own historical black rag doll! The type of rag doll pattern included in our kit is referred to as the pancake style doll because it is flat on both sides. This is the most common and easiest of cloth dolls to make. Our original Black Rag Doll Kit includes fabric for the doll, dress and apron, lace, yarn for hair, sewing needle, thread, pattern, stuffing, instructions, and the history of black rag dolls. You will need: straight pins, scissors, black and natural thread, pencil, ruler and an iron. The completed doll is approximately 11-1/4 inches tall. Adult assistance required.
